Dog Breeding - Is my Bitch Coming Into Season?

One of the most common questions that dog owners who is a bitch, have not been desexed is needed - my bitch in the coming season?

To help you know - it is very important to know that your dog ages, as accurately as possible! A bitch in season may come from the age of 6 months - as late as 12 months. But they must be switched on and checked - about 6 months old.

PLEASE NOTE - professional breeders are obliged by their racial groups, racialONLY 12 months on. This is because dogs that are only about 6 months old, still very much puppies and immature both physically and mentally. Your dog will be a stronger and better mother and her puppies are not much better if you wait until at least 12 months old.

If you are trying to breed too early just because you think you will make money by selling to juveniles - noted vet bills can be high - it's really best to wait for the dog until hisOlder!

Early signs of heat

One of the very early signs may be a stage of "suspected" of males know her condition. This is obviously the attentive landlord in an increase in the urine and usually occurs about 2 weeks before coming into the season. It can also increase the dog licking her vulva in an effort to keep clean.

More obvious signs (pro-oestrus - about 9 days long)

The next stage is much more obvious and is reallythe first full stage of the heat. The bitches vulva begins to grow and can TRIPLE the size of its original size, this phase will last about 9 days.

IMPORTANT You need to watch to have been seen - in order that the swelling. For an indication of the extent of the changes - see pictures on my website at breeding dogs.

You should not miss this age, it is very obvious, because usually there is a blood-stained discharge, which in their intensity vary from bitchbitch. The discharge can begin, a brown color and the progress to red. The dogs can also reduce the appetite, but this is not always the case. Also usually the more dominant dog can be with other women and begin to "flag" Males - that is, by focusing on their tail, and present them to the back of the nose of the males.

It should be noted, however, that the bitch will not allow a male mating attempt at this point!

Needless to say, that means careful early on that you shouldable to take the next step - what is the best time for mating - or if you do not want the riskiest - the period of maximum fertility race!

The next stage is called estrus or standing heat and where the stud dog breeders want to introduce will occur for mating and a "band" can for more information about this next crucial phase of the dogs heat cycle, please visit my website under the link below.
